B. Ray, Slone, 85, of New Knoxville, died suddenly at 11:13 A.M. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at his residence.
He was born November 11, 1938, in Martin, Kentucky, the son of Lena (Triplett) and William Slone.
He married Judith Sullivan on April 11, 1958, in Martin, Kentucky, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his children: Annette (Jerry) Wolfe of New Knoxville; William (Vicky) Slone of New Knoxville; Greg (Sara) Slone of Lugoff, South Carolina.
He is survived by his 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a graduate of the Alice Lloyd High School in Hindman, Kentucky. He retired from Hoge Brush Company in New Knoxville after more than 40 years of service.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping and was a member of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Minster, where he served as Deacon.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 9, 2024, at Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, 71 North Hamilton Street, Minster, Pastor Bob Warnock, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the church, where memorial gifts may be given to the Mission Fund of the Church.
