OBITUARY

Adam Lee Cornett, 42, of Celina, OH died unexpectedly early Saturday May 11, 2024.

He was born December 15, 1981 in St. Marys to Faran and Carolyn (Teague) Cornett.

Survivors include: daughter Ashlyn Cornett of Mendon, OH

                              son Carter Cornett of Celina, OH

                              father Faran Cornett of Celina, OH

                              sister Deanna Lyn Cornett of Harrodsburg, KY

                              sister Kimberly Ray Cornett of Louisville, KY

                              paternal grandmother Janice Cornett-Slone of Springfield, KY

                              a large extended family which includes numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

Preceded in death by: mother Carolyn Cornett-Lawson; paternal grandfather Sidney Cornett; maternal grandparents Hewil and Evelyn Teague

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 2000).

Adam may have had his battles during life, but he had a down-to-earth soul. His favorite pastimes included fishing and listening to music. A talented artist who created many drawings, he also loved nature with his whole being.

He would want to be remembered for his hippie soul, and not the demons that took him. May his final words to his son be remembered for everyone, “I love you for free.”

Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday May 17, 2024 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Josh Cornett will officiate the services.

Visitation 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home on High Street.
