Wanda Jean (Lay) McCoy

Wanda Jean McCoy, 84, of St. Marys, OH died 6:30 p.m. Saturday August 3, 2019 at her daughter's residence in Wapakoneta, OH.

She was born March 12, 1935 in Jellico, TN to George and Ida (Morgan) Lay.

On October 15, 1954 she married J.R. McCoy, who died April 14, 2001.

Survivors include:  daughter Sandra McCoy of Celina, OH

                              daughter Carol (Daryl) Brackney of Wapakoneta, OH

                              son Roy McCoy of Wapakoneta, OH

                              daughter Shirley (Ron) Keith of St.Marys, OH

                              daughter Sheila McCoy of Middlesboro, KY

                              13 grandchildren   32 great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by: parents George and Ida Lay; husband J.R. McCoy; son Donnie Lynn McCoy; nine brothers and sisters

She was a homemaker and worked for Copeland Corp. in Sidney, OH for many years.

Her favorite pastimes included fishing, watching sprint car racing, playing BINGO and card games.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 8, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Robert Sweeney, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 9;30 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
