Randy J. Kohler, 56, of 223 South Vine Street, Saint Marys, died 9:25 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.

He was born March 8, 1961, in Saint Marys, the son of Joseph and Sharon (Makley) Kohler.

He is survived by his companion, Teresa Smith, with whom he made his home in Saint Marys.

He is also survived by his daughter, Leslie (Dan) Curtis of Troy, Ohio; by a step-daughter, Kara, of Lima; by his siblings: VIcki Schnell of Celina; Linda Kohler of Saint Marys; Lora Poppe of Wapakoneta; Becca Kohler of Celina; Charles Makley, Jr. of Saint Marys.

He is survived by his step-father, Charles Makley of Saint Marys.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Ethan Curtis; Sam Curtis; Danielle Curtis; and by many nieces and nephews.

Randy was a  1979 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He had worked at Honda of America and later, at Setex in Saint Marys. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, Matchbox cars and putting models together. He was a good cook and loved to listen to music. He was a member of the Celina American Legion and VFW.

Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, with Pastor Paul Werling, officiant.

Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 9289 following the funeral rites on Monday.

Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
