Nicholas J. Kohler, 38, of St. Marys, OH died unexpectedly 12:35 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2019 in Ossian, IN.

He was born February 16, 1981 in St. Marys, OH to Linda S. Kohler and Rick Springer.

He is survived by: son Kobe Kohler of Ohio City, OH

                              mother Linda Kohler of St. Marys, OH

                              father Rick Springer of Waynesfield, OH

                              sister Angela Bullen of Spencerville, OH

                              niece Autumn Thomas of Spencerville, OH

                              nephew Alexander Bullen of Spencerville, OH

                              grandfather Charles "Bo" Makley of Wapakoneta, OH

                              aunts, uncles and cousins

                              significant other Hope Wilkinson of Ossian, IN

Preceded in death by: grandmother Sharon Makley; grandfather Joseph Kohler; aunt Cyndi Hunter; uncle Randy Kohler

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1999).

He was a production employee for Cargill Solutions in St. Marys.

His favorite pastimes included camping, attending concerts and watching sports (especially St. Marys Roughriders football and baseball). A devoted father, he enjoyed spending quality time with his son. Nick had a wonderful sense of humor, which brightened the lives of his family and friends.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday July 25, 2019 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. The Rev. Andrew Atkins will officiate the services.

Visitation 2 - 4 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
