Lynn Bowen

Lynn F. Bowen, 68, of Saint Marys, died at 2:00 A.M.Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.

He was born October 18, 1949, in Chemung County, New York, the son of Lynn and Betty (Cook) Bowen.

He married Kathy Frey on September 16, 1972 in Saint Marys, and she survives at the residence.

He is also survived by his children: Jeremy (Cathie) Bowen of Saint Marys; Dawn(Marvin Levering) Harris of Springfield, Ohio; by his grandchildren: Sean Bowen; Brandon Boroff; Billy Levering; Junior Levering; Alison Levering; Mikey Levering and Jacob Levering.

Also surviving are his siblings, Leland Bowen of St. Cloud, Florida and Pat Heathcoe of Lakeland, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son Sean Bowen; by a brother, Arthur Bowen.

Lynn was a graduate of Horsehead’s High School in New York. He had been employed at Grand Lake Builders for many years, where he made pre-cast items.

He was a veteran of the US Army, having proudly served during the Vietnam War. He loved traveling and spending time with his family.

Funeral rites will will be held 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, with Brother Marvin Levering, officiating. Burial rites will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Lynn’s family. Condolences may be sent to his family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
