Kenneth A. Eckhart, 90, of Celina, OH died 8:04 a.m. Monday May 13, 2019 at Grande Lake Health Center in St. Marys.
He was born August 11, 1928 in Dayton, OH to Elwood and Leona (Althoff) Eckhart.
On October 13, 1961 at St. Peter's Church in New Bremen, OH he married Helen A. Hunsaker, who survives.

nephew Dale (Edith) Eckhart of Germany
nephew Donald (Sue Ellen) Eckhart of Galloway, OH
niece Barbara (G.C.) Thompson of St. Marys, OH
Preceded in death by: parents Elwood and Leona Eckhart; brother Melvin Eckhart; sister Evelyn Rupert
He was a graduate of New Bremen High School (Class of 1946).
A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country during the Korean War.
He worked at STAMCO in New Bremen and retired from the Minster Machine Co. in Minster, OH.
He was a member of St. Peter's Church and the American Legion Post #241, both in New Bremen.
He was a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes sports teams.
Graveside rites are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday May 16, 2019 at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Pastor Ed Rinehart will officiate the service.
