Karen Rockwell, 70, of Wapakoneta, died 4:21 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 7, 1948, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Noble and Julia (Swartz) Jaynes.
She married William Rockwell on May 10, 1991, and he survives in Wapakoneta.
She is survived by her children: Wilbur (Kristine) Reis of Alabama; Athena Reis of Arizona; Aletha Reis of Ohio; Christie (Joe) Lowe of Indiana; Lori (Frank) Ford of Indiana. She is also survived by her step-children: Billy (Sherry) Rockwell of Tennessee; John (Charlotte) Rockwell of Arizona; Mary (Andy) Douglas of Michigan. Also surviving are her siblings: Pamela (George) Erais; Faith Jaynes; Mick Jaynes; Janice Jaynes; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her siblings: Noble Jaynes Jr, Art Vanetta, Diane Jaynes, Darlene Wednesday, and Tom Jaynes.
Karen was a homemaker and she was a great cook; her specialty was cooking roadkill. She also liked to garden and could make anything grow.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Private family burial rites will follow.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
