Ernest “Dudley” Ginter, 74, of Celina, OH died 7:23 p.m. Friday October 26, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born August 10, 1944 in Celina, OH.

9 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren
sister Janice “Sue” Norris of Celina, OH
brother Larry Byrley of Defiance, OH
sister Sandy Bussing of Delta, OH
brother Samuel Morgan of Mercer, OH
sister Michaelene Leiss of Celina, OH
many other members of his extended family too
numerous to mention.
Preceded in death by: father Arthur Ginter; mother Beulah (Byrley) Morgan; wife Glenda (Mihm) Ginter; son Ernest Ginter, Jr.; sister Crystal Schmidt; brother Richard Ginter; sister Carolyn Morgan-Blosser; step mother Elsie Jean Ginter.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the 82nd Airborne Division during the early 1960’s.
Mr. Ginter worked for a telephone company in Florida for many years. In addition, he owned and operated several businesses, including the former John’s County Line Club (between Celina and St. Marys).
“Dud” was an ornery and fun-loving individual who always made things interesting. His favorite pastimes included woodworking, fishing, playing banjo and guitar, the game of euchre, and most notably, alligator hunting.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post # 8445 in Wapakoneta, OH.
Funeral services for Mr. Ginter will be held 11:00 a.m. October 31, 2018 at Miller Funeral Home, Ohio 703 West Chapel, St.Marys, OH. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home on Oct. 30.
Private burial services will be held at a later date.
