Eleanore Elizabeth Strasburg, 103, (formerly of St. Marys, OH) died Saturday November 25, 2017 at her residence in Hilliard, OH.

She was born October 22, 1914 in St. Marys, OH to George and Josephine (Opperman) Schultz.

On September 23, 1945 she married Willard T. Strasburg, who died April 5, 1974.

Survivors include: daughter and caregiver Barbara Mahan of Dublin, OH; 5 nieces: Ann Donnerberg of St. Marys, OH; Alice Stoll of Columbus, OH; Jane Schumann of Lima, OH; Janet Schroeder of Grass Valley, CA; Shirley Donovan of Calimesa, CA

Preceded in death by: parents George and Josephine Schultz; husband Willard Strasburg; sister Mary Schultz; sister Gretchen Berg; sister Ruth Karch; sister Esther Graus; brother Elmer Schultz; brother Leonard Schultz; brother Raymond Schultz; three infant brothers.

She was a lifelong faithful and active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys.

She also volunteered countless hours for the JTDM Hospital Guild and the American Red Cross.

A homemaker, she had been employed at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Vanderhorst Canning Factory and the St. Marys Daycare Center.

Rites are scheduled to begin 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 2, 2017 at Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home,314 W. High Street , St. Marys,. The Rev. Dr. Ed Bray will officiate the services. Private burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
