Doug Grimm, 74, of 1014 South Wayne Street, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on December 14, 2017, at his residence.

He was born December 16, 1942, in St. Marys, the son of Carl and Florence (Schnarre) Grimm.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Kenny) Yuhanick of Elida, Ohio; by two grandsons:  Kurtis Wells of Richmond, Indiana; Joseph Yuhanick of Elida; by a step-son, Robert Sprague; by two great-grandchildren: Steffanee and Maddelynn Wells.

He is survived by his siblings: Ken Grimm of Sebring, Florida; Mary Paul of New Bremen; Jackie Badger of North Fort Myers, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by his siblings: Carroll Grimm; Dick Grimm and Betty Schlaudecker.

Doug was a 1960 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He retired from the United States Postal Service, and had been a letter carrier in St. Marys and Lima.

He was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys, Eagles Lodge 767 and VFW Post 9289. He loved playing golf.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, Reverend Dillon Staas, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Hoyt Brown Scholarship Fund, or to the VFW or Eagles. Friends may also call from 10-11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
