To the family of Don Hinckley. Please accept our family's sincere sympathy at this most difficult time.

For many years, I had the opportunity to sit at the scorer's table for high school basketball games operating the scoreboard, with Steve Taylor on the game clock, Jack McBride on the official scorebook, and Don at the microphone. No matter how frustrating the day was, when we walked into the gym for a game, you could count on Don greeting us with a handshake and a smile. No doubt, he was a huge fan and avid supporter of Roughrider sports. All you had to do was listen to the enthusiasm he projected when performing his announcing duties; whether it be during player introductions, a three point shot, or a 75 yard touchdown run with that famous "TOUCHDOWN ROUGHRIDERS". Don's enthusiasm was contagious. He was certainly an asset to our athletic department, our school district, and our community. His "blue and gold spirit" will truly be missed.
