Roger Dean Sturgill, 60, of St. Marys, Ohio, died 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at his residence.

He was born October 23, 1955, in Lima, Ohio to Adam F. and Avonell (Perry) Sturgill, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Avonell Sturgill of St. Marys, 3 brothers: Adam Sturgill, Jr., William Keith Sturgill, and Michael "Joe" Sturgill, all of St. Marys.  He is also survived by 2 sisters: Freda Turner, and Jennifer (Dustin) Dailey, both of St. Marys, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Adam Sturgill, Sr.

He was a graduate of Bath High School, Lima, Ohio. A mechanic, he was employed at Hegemier Tire Service in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Keith's Service Center, in St. Marys.

He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and NASCAR.

Services are scheduled to begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. The Rev. Tim Smith will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
