Randy Lee Howell, 57, of 147 Parkway Court, Saint Marys, died 5:23 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.

He was born November 26, 1959, in Saint Marys, the son of Ronald and Judy (Hiles) Howell.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Howell of Fort Myers, Florida; by his children: Amy (Brenden) Klosterman of Saint Marys; Dustin Howell of Saint Marys; Brandon (fiance Katelyn Moore) Howell of Saint Marys; Lea Trittschuh of Dayton.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Laiken Klosterman; Bree Howell; Abalynn Klosterman; by his niece, Danielle Howell; by his nephew, Nick Henline. He is survived by his close friend Katherine Trittschuh of Dayton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Howell; by a sister, Lori Howell; by his former wife, Janell Heitkamp Howell.

Randy graduated from Saint Marys Memorial High School in 1978. He graduated from Rhodes State College and retired from the Saint Marys Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter/paramedic. He had previously worked at Minster Machine Company, and was currently serving as Noble Township Fire Prevention Officer.

He was a member of M-SERV and Eagles Lodge 767. He loved collecting fire and rescue equipment; he was a skilled hunter and fisherman, and a great mushroom hunter. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Private family burial rites will be held.

Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to Randy’s family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
