Paul E. Bonifas, 61, formerly of Celina, OH died Saturday March 18, 2017 in the emergency department of Defiance Regional Hospital.

He was born September 15, 1955 in Lima, OH to Vernon and Angela (Vogt) Bonifas,

On September 29, 2014 in Tennessee he married Julie Van Zile, who survives.

Also survived by: son Cheserie “Chez” (Margot) Bonifas of Coldwater,

                             son Vernon “Bud” Bonifas of Celina, OH

                             step-son Zachary (Kelsey) Ranshaw of Amana, IA

                             4 grandchildren: Harmony Bonifas, Destiny Bonifas,

                             Paige Bonifas, Rhylee Bonifas. 

                             brother Roger Bonifas of St. Marys, OH

                             sister Gerri Minnich of Sidney, OH

                             brother Don Bonifas of Celina, OH

Preceded in death by: father Vernon Bonifas; mother Angela Bonifas-Boberg; sister Mary Jo Bonifas; nephew Brian Bonifas

He was a graduate of New Knoxville High School.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He worked for many years in the maintenance department of Dairy Farm Products in New Bremen, OH.

He was a member of VFW Post #5713 in Celina, VFW Post #9289 in St. Marys, and the Eagle Riders Motorcycle Club.

His favorite pastimes included camping and riding his motorcycle.

Rites are scheduled to begin 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 25, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Don Clinger, officiating.

Military funeral honors will be provided by the VFW Post # 9289,

Visitation 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
