Mildred “Milka” Klemenic, 90, formerly of Merrillville, IN entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2017.

She was born November 14, 1926 in Pravutina, Croatia to Mijo and Veronika (Jambrusic) Perla.

A much-loved mother to John (Molly) Klemenic and Mary (Dan) Dempsey.

A beloved “nana” to Ryan (Lindsay) Dempsey and Aaron Dempsey.

She was blessed to live to see two precious great-grandchildren: Lauren and Andrew Dempsey.

Also survived by her niece, Mary (Richard) Mandly; her nephews: Zlatko (Violet) Gojmerac and Duka (Ljerka) Gojmerac, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ivan Klemenic; her parents; a sister and two brothers.

Milka was a homemaker who enjoyed baking (especially, cookies) and tending her gardens (floral and vegetable). She also took great pleasure in socializing with her family and many good friends.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 19, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Valparaiso, IN.

Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, in Merrillville, IN.

Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
