Marjorie Ellen Waldorf Squire of Oberlin, Ohio, 76, passed away peacefully at the home of her son in St. Marys, Ohio on May 22, 2017, following an extended illness. She was born April 20, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan.

Marj graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Des Moines, Iowa in 1959 and studied at Drake University. She married Warren Earl Squire on August 4, 1962. Marj and Warren enjoyed living in Salzburg, Austria for a year before settling in Elyria, Ohio to raise a family. Marj was devoted to her family and also enjoyed working with people as a driver education teacher and hearing aid specialist. She loved gardening and the game of Scrabble. 

Marj is survived by her children Julie (Jay Sakai) Squire, Jeffrey Squire and Jean (Gregory) Squire-Gefell; grandchildren Joseph and Emily Sakai, Johanna and Andrew Gefell; brothers Leonard and Robert Waldorf, and sister Mary Jo (Milan) Waldorf  Mrvichin. She was predeceased by her husband Warren and her sister Maxine (Kevin) Waldorf Whelan.

A gathering for family and friends will be 2-5 pm Saturday, June 3 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria, Ohio.

Memorial donations in memory of Marj may be made to the American Cancer Society.
