Lynne M. Sampson, 72, formerly of 317 South Wayne Street, and a long time resident of the Saint Marys Living Center, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 10:12 P.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the Saint Marys Living Center.

She was born December 9, 1944, in Sandusky, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Lucia Anne (Marshal) Collins.

She married Robert Sampson on June 12, 1976, and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Sampson, of Cincinnati; by her siblings: Dave McRitchie of Toledo and Tom McRitchie of Toledo.

She is survived by her husband’s siblings: Susan (David) Hicks of Saint Marys; Linda Sampson of Saint Marys; Al (Barb) Sampson of Saint Marys; Diane Gaskill of Van Wert; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; by her siblings Kathy Redd and John McRitchie.

Lynne was a member of the First Friends’ Church in Saint Marys, where she had served as assistant pianist. She loved playing the piano and singing. She was the official greeter at the Saint Marys Living Center, a job she earned through her friendly, warm personality. Her daughter wishes to express her gratitude to the Saint Marys Living Center for treating Lynne like family.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Mary, Pastor Judy Ball Baker, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be directed to SART.
