We grew up next door to Mrs. Cook on Dorothy Lane. Growing up next door to a wonderful and sweet woman left us with many fond memories. We still remember visiting her on their back porch. We also used to color pictures for her - she would frequently "pay" us in candy for our coloring pages. She was a wonderful woman who holds a special place in our hearts. We are sorry for your loss and hope you take comfort knowing she was well loved by many.

June and Ernie were our back-door neighbors for many years. Not having any relatives in town when we moved here, June and Ernie became our "second parents", always willing to lend a hand or advice to our young family. June let me use her clothesline and always left their back door open for us to run to during tornado warnings. Their gardening expertise was invaluable over the years, as was their friendship. We still miss them on "the block", as they were wonderful neighbors. June will always be fondly remembered by our family, and our sincere condolences to Ernie and their beautiful family.
