Janet M. Weimert, 86, of 808 Motz Street, Saint Marys, died 7:15 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 19, 1929, in Marinette, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward and Mabel (Johnson) Olsen.

She married Donald L. Weimert on March 10, 1953, in Long Beach, California, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2014.

She is survived by her three children: Susan (John) Duncan of Saint Marys; James (Amy) Weimert of Orlando, Florida; Larry Weimert of Saint Marys.

She is survived seven grandchildren and by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a granddaughter, by her siblings Dorothy Wendt, Lois Reeves, Teener Hamilton, Ed Olsen, Bob Olsen, and David Olsen.

Janet was a 1948 graduate of Marinette High School. She graduated from beauty college and was a beauty operator and homemaker. She was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in Saint Marys. Janet enjoyed camping, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a great conversationalist and listener who was always willing to help someone in need.

Memorial rites will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Janet’s home, which is located at 808 Motz Street in Saint Marys, Pastor Josh Andrew, officiant. Following cremation, her ashes will be buried with her husband at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
