Eleanor Day Kile, 91, formerly of St. Marys, OH died October 17, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona.

She was born July 25, 1924 in Delphos, OH to William and Lucille (Metzger) Day.

On December 31, 1946 in West Jefferson, OH she married Dr. Dale L. Kile, who died November 19, 1996.

Survivors include:  son Dr. Dale (Sandy) Kile of Nashville, TN

                              son Daniel (Joyce) Kile of Kansas City, MO

                              son Douglas (Caroyln) Kile of Marion, OH

                              son Dr. Dean (Debra) Kile of Phoenix, AZ

                              11 grandchildren   12 great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by: parents William and Lucille Day; husband Dr. Dale Kile; sister Lucille Kesling; sister Dorothy Blauser; sister Virginia Seifert; sister Elsie Smith; brother Richard Day

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, OH.

She was a former member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends, golfing and playing cards (especially, the game of bridge).

Graveside funeral rites are scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 at Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys. The Rev. Lynn Huffman will officiate the service.
