Charles F. “Chuck” Houts, 49,  of 1122 Hager Street, Saint Marys, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 10, 1966, in Saint Marys, the son of Virginia Houts.

He is survived by his two daughters: Christina (Tim Nolan) Houts of Saint Marys; Tammy (Arles) Miranda of Oceanside, California.

He is survived by his fiance, Donna Doseck, of Saint Marys.

He is also survived by his step-children: Mary (Jeremy) Hughes of Anna, Ohio; Lynda (Craig) Grisez of Anna; Angel (Joel) McMichael of Vinegrove, Kentucky; Christopher (Amy Pleasant) Doseck of Anna. He is survived by his brother, Nick (Yvonne) Houts of Saint Marys.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Chuck was a 1986 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was a professional landscaper, and he had also worked at Honda of America; and NKP. He was a big fan of the San Diego Chargers and also the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved the rock band “Kiss” and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held 4:00 P.M. Wednesday October 12, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Chuck’s family.
