Almalea Winer, 92, St.Marys, OH died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the St.Marys Living Center, 1209 Indiana Ave., St.Marys, OH. 

Almalea was born November 30, 1916 in St.Marys, OH, the daughter of Orvil A. and Bessie E. (Packer) Sweigart. 

She married Merlin C. Winer on March 24, 1940 in St.Marys and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2005. 

She is survived by:

¨ Nephew, David (Chris) Chivington of St.Marys, OH

¨ Nephew, Brenton (Amy) Chivington of Lewis Center, OH 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ronald E. Winer, her two brothers: Orvil and Carter Sweigart and her two sisters: Leona Sheets and Beatrice Chivington. 

Almalea was a 1934 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School.  She was a faithful member of the Grace Missionary Church in Celina and its Maranatha class.  She greatly loved her family and she enjoyed being able to travel with her husband. 

She was an Election Day poll worker for years and her pastimes included reading and sewing.

Graveside services for Mrs.Winer will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery, Pastor Harold Lunsford officiating.
