Helen C. Wietholter, 96, a resident of the Covington Care Center, Covington, OH died 10:10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Covington Care Center.  She is the mother of Bluffton residents Evelyn (Roger) Eymer and former resident Robert Wietholter. 

She was born August 29, 1912 near Kettlersville in Shelby County, Oh the daughter of August and Lillie (Dickman) Egbert. 

On October 22, 1931 she married William Wietholter and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1991. 

She is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Evelyn (Roger) Eymer of Bluffton, IN

¨ Daughter, Marcella (Robert) Puterbaugh of Tipp City, OH

¨ Son, Robert Wietholter of Westfield, IN

¨ 6 grandchildren

¨ 10 great-grandchildren

¨ 5 great-great-grandchildren 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pauline Bushman; by a son-in-law, James Hirschfeld; and a daughter-in-law, Deanna Hirschfeld. 

Mrs. Wietholter resided in Piqua OH until 1987 at which time she moved to St.Marys, OH.  In October 2001, she became a resident of the Covington Care Center where she enjoyed the center’s activities. 

Helen was a homemaker.  She was a member of St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys and was a fifty year member of the First United Church of Christ in Piqua, OH.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Ed Bray, officiant.  Burial will follow at Willow Grove Cemetery in New Bremen, OH.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
