Esther Vogel, 85, passed away unexpected on December 19, 2007.  Esther was the daughter of Lewis and Sarah (Buddemeyer) Wibbeler born June 20, 1922. She married Eugene Vogel in 1941 who preceded her in death in 1972.  Their daughter, Tami Vogel died in 1981.

Esther is survived by two daughters Karen Vornholt (Steve) of Harris, MO and Connie Hegemier (Gary) of Earlysville, VA. Six grandchildren Debbie Klein (Don) of New Bremen, OH; Darlene Bowers (Chris) of Ada, OH; Greg Vornholt (Deana) of Chillicothe, MO; Matt Hegemier (Hallie) Free Union ,VA; Tim Hegemier (Suzie) Charlottesville, VA; Abby Lunn (Sean) Charlottesville, VA and twelve great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister in law Betty Vogel (Bill) and a brother-in-law Bernard Kruse (Ruth) both of St. Mary’s OH and many nieces and nephews.

She had three sisters Selma Settlage, Emma Arnett, Ruth Kruse and three brothers Leroy Wibbeler, Henry Wibbeler and Walter Wibbeler who all preceded her in death.

Born in the Moulton area of Auglaize County, she lived in St.Marys, OH until moving to Charlottesville, VA in 1998.  For the last year and a half she has been a resident at Morningside Assisted Living in Charlottesville where she loved so many of the staff.

 Esther loved to work, read current events and health publications, and was very generous sharing recipes and candy treats with others.  She was employed in Ohio at Goodyear in St.Marys and Teleflex in Van Wert and in Virginia at First Systems and Resources.

She will be missed by many including a good friend Lee Kaiser who drove and shopped for Esther many years and help her in many ways.

Funeral Service will be at Miller Funeral Home, Celina Rd, St.Mary’s, OH on Sunday December 23^rd at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday from noon until 2:00 PM.
