Violet "Pauline" Ballweg

Violet “Pauline” Ballweg, 84, of 516 Webb Street in St.Marys, OH died Tuesday April 17, 2007 at her residence, following an extended illness.

 

She was born February 7, 1923 in St.Marys, OH to Charles & Mattie (Schlechty) Hay.

 

On May 8, 1948 she married Cletus Ballweg, who survives.

 

She is also survived by:

· Son, Terry (Sue) Ballweg of St.Marys, OH

· Son, Craig Ballweg of St.Marys, OH

· Brother, Charles (Louise) Hay of New Bremen, OH

· Sister, Margaret (Martin) Menchhofer of St.Marys, OH

· Five grandchildren

· Four great-grandchildren

Mrs. Ballweg was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth (Audrey) Hay.

 

She was a 1941 graduate of Memorial High School in St.Marys.

Pauline was a homemaker and also worked at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for a number of years.

 

She was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St.Marys.

 

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Known for her kindness to animals, she also liked working in her flower gardens, but most of all she enjoyed shopping!

 

Private family services and visitation are scheduled Friday, April 20, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home, St. Rt. 703 West Chapel, St.Marys, OH, with the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near St.Marys, OH.
