Raymond D. Vining, 61, of 267 Koenig Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, died suddenly on Monday, November 19, 2007, at his residence.

He was born November 18, 1946, in Celina, the son of Raymond and Hazel (Shaffer) Vining.

He is survived by three children: Cara Vining of Wapakoneta; Raymond (Elizabeth) Vining of Laurelville, Ohio; Mia Kleman of Melbourne, Florida; by a brother, Buddy (Deb) Vining of Saint Marys; two sisters: Karen (Larry) Wicker of Saint Marys; Joan Gilleo of Saint Marys; by two grandchildren: Heidi and Vanessa Vining of Laurelville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: Donna Spangler and Jimmy Vining.

Raymond was employed as a test driver at the Transportation Research Center.

He loved the outdoors, guns and driving.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Judy Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
