Irma E. Taylor, 89, of 1014 Williams Street in St. Marys, OH died 1:25 p.m. Saturday July 23, 2011 at her residence. 

She was born July 21, 1922 in Sidney, OH to Bernard and Elizabeth (Hausfeld) Tebbe. 

On October 14, 1950, she married James M. Taylor, who died June 29, 1987. 

She is survived by:

Daughter, Rene (Don) Hicks  of St. Marys, OH

Son, Curtis J. (Christa) Taylor  of St. Marys, OH

Step-son, Gary Lee Taylor  of Norwood, OH

12  grandchildren         

Several step-grandchildren        

Numerous great-grandchildren 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Elizabeth Tebbe; husband, James Taylor; grandson, Christopher Schuerman; brother,  Paul Tebbe; brother, Henry Tebbe; sister, Leona Tebbe; sister, Viola Baumer; sister, Marie Bidwell; step-daughter, Constance Leonhart. 

She was a 1942 graduate of Minster High School in Minster, OH.  She worked as a clerk at Wal-Mart in Celina until October 2010. She had also previously worked at JTDM Hospital and the former G.C. Murphy Co., both in St. Marys.  She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge Aerie # 767 and VFW Post 9289 auxiliaries, all in St. Marys.  Her favorite pastimes included tending her vegetable garden, growing roses and mowing her lawn. She also enjoyed traveling.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Thursday July 28, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 511 E. Spring Street in St. Marys, with the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher, celebrant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 2 -4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home High Street Chapel in St. Marys.
