Ruth N. Tangeman, 90, formerly of 800 Indiana Avenue, St.Marys, OH and a resident of the St.Marys Living Center, died 8:26 P.M. Friday, September 28, 2007, at Joint Township Hospital in St.Marys, OH.

She was born May 7, 1917, in New Knoxville, the daughter of Arthur and Hulda (Schrolucke) Schroer.

She married Leroy Tangeman on July 1, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by:

¨ Son, Tom (Marilyn) Tangeman of St.Marys, OH

¨ Daughter,  Phyllis (Vince) Stricker of Minster; OH

¨ 8 grandchildren

¨ 2 step-grandchildren

¨ 11 great-grandchildren

¨ 2 step great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Alvera Heil, by one brother, Aaron Schroer, by 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Ruth was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of a lawn care business.

She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ in Saint Marys and the Womens’ Guild of the church. She enjoyed flower gardening and reading.

 She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Dr. David Williams, officiant. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to St Paul’s United Church of Christ.
