Rebecca “Becky” Ginter Swartz, 46, of 417 West Madison Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 2:20 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys following a two year battle with cancer.

She was born May 10, 1961, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Charles and Joyce (Winters) Ginter. They survive in Saint Marys.

She married Gary Swartz on June 2, 1979 and he survives at the residence. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her son, Dillon Swartz of Saint Marys; her in-laws, Fred and Janet Swartz of Saint Marys; by her siblings: Cheryl Frederick of Saint Marys; Cleo (Gregg) DuGranrut of Beaverdam, Ohio; Lori Burd of Saint Marys; Kelly (Chris) Olsen of Saint Marys; Charles (Christine) Ginter, Jr. of Saint Marys; by her great-grandmother, Naomi Longsworth of Saint Marys; by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and by an infant son.

Becky was a 1979 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was employed at Bruns Spouting and Roofing where she was a secretary. She was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she served as church secretary. She loved reading and traveling. She was a wonderfully loving mother and was devoted to her family.

Funeral rites will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Mary Kay Brown, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to the Auglaize County Cancer Fund or to Joint Township Hospice.
