Dale W. Stevely, 85, of 14110 Glynwood - New Knoxville Road in St.Marys, OH died 4:15 a.m. Sunday April 22, 2007 in the emergency department at JTDM Hospital, following a sudden illness.

He was born December 23, 1921 in Noble Twp. - Auglaize Co., OH to Oscar & Elizabeth (Kiser) Stevely.

He was first married to Jacquelyn “Jo” Stevely, who preceded him death.

On June 1, 1984, he then married Kathryn “Katie” Post-Buehler, who survives.

He is also survived by:

· Step-daughter. Marilyn (Ron) Dorsten of Minster, OH

· Step-daughter, Janet (Steve) Alspaugh of Van Wert, OH

· Step-son, Dave Buehler of Wapakoneta, OH

D   Daughter-in-law, Marcie Buehler of Celina, OH

· Six step-grandchildren; Eight step-great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Stevely; step-son Carl Buehler.

He was a1940 graduate of Coldwater High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during WW II.  He was a musician and entertainer, having played in numerous area dance bands, most notably, The Stevely Brass.  He had also worked as a car salesman for his friend Wally Schmidt.  He attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Dale enjoyed dancing and was a life member of VFW Post # 9289 in St.Marys.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26,207 at Miller Funeral Home, Ohio 703 West Chapel, St.Marys, OH with the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher officiating.  Burial, with graveside military rites, will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St.Marys, OH.

Visitation will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
