David A. Spaulding, 40, of 313 Lynn Street, Saint Marys, died 11:29 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born March 1, 1971, in Saint Marys, the son of James and Emma Jane (Montague) Spaulding.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Jane (Montague) Allen of Saint Marys; by his three children: Erica (Zach) Duncan of Saint Marys; Dustin Spaulding of Saint Marys; Tasha Spaulding of Saint Marys; by his fiance, Doris Badertscher of Saint Marys; by his former wife, Jodi (Slusher) Chilcoat of Saint Marys; by a grandson, Carson Duncan of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dave was employed as a bricklayer at the Superior Forge and Steel Company in Lima. He enjoyed watching Roughrider football, coaching, and was a fan of the OSU Buckeyes. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 767 in Saint Marys. The joy of his life was spending time with his grandson.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be made to Dave's children.
