Christine L. (Cook) Smith, 37, of 506 Cleveland Avenue in St.Marys, OH died Monday December 7, 2009 in Jane, MO.

She was born October 23, 1972 in St.Marys, OH to Arthur K. and Ramona M. (Chilcoat) Cook.

On January 10, 1998, she married John R. Smith, who died November 24, 2006.

She is survived by:

• brother Steven (Connie Sparklin) Cook of Coldwater, OH
• nephews: Tyler Cook, Tom Sparklin
• aunts and uncles: Don (Doris) Cook of St.Marys, OH, Marie (Joseph) Wendeln of Minster, OH, Mary Lou Wendeln of Sidney, OH
• numerous cousins

She was preceded in death by her husband, paternal grandparents: Grant and Leah Cook; maternal grandparents: Charles and Cora Chilcoat; uncle, Eugene Wendeln

She was a 1991 graduate of Memorial High School in St.Marys.

Prior to becoming disabled, she worked as a cashier at the former Big Bear grocery store in Celina, OH.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping and caring for animals (especially cats).

Rites are scheduled 10:00 a.m. Monday December 14, 2009 at the Miller Funeral Home & Cremation Service 1605 Celina Road in St.Marys, with the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St.Marys.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home on Celina Road.
