Rebecca Jane Smallwood, 98, formerly of 450 Parker Street in St.Marys, OH, died 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the JTDM Hospital in St.Marys, OH. 

She was born April 15, 1909 near Weeksbury in Floyd Co., KY to Isaac & Mary Jane (Johnson) Caudill. 

On September 5, 1931 she married McKinley Smallwood, who died November 17, 1972. 

She is survived by:

¨ Son, Alvie Charlene) Smallwood of Bevinsville, KY

¨ Daughter, Anna Rose (Richard) Dicke of Mena, AR

¨ Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-grandchildren

¨ Brother, Junior (Shirley) Caudill of Cartersville, VA 

She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac & Mary Jane Caudill; husband, McKinley Smallwood; son, James Hensley; son, Edward Hensley; son, Ivan Smallwood; daughter, Betty Jurosic; brother, Lafie Caudill; 3 sisters: Ivadel Sullivan, Annie Mullins & Opal Williams. 

She was a homemaker and a member of the Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in St.Marys.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 9, 2008 at the Miller Funeral Home (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St.Marys, with Pastor Jack Burns, officiating. Burial will be Thursday at the Smallwood Family Cemetery, near Bevinsville, KY.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
