Steven H. Shrock, 71, of 10805 Celina-Mendon Road, Mendon, Ohio, died 8:30 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born January 13, 1940, in Elwood, Indiana, the son of John and Claudine (Garner) Shrock and they preceded him in death.

He married Karen Smith on February 15, 1958 and she survives at the residence.

He is also survived by his three sons: Steven (Tami) Shrock, Jr. of Versailles, Ohio; Dave (Shelley) Shrock of Celina; Scott Schrock of Mendon; by three grandchildren: Damien Shrock; Maggi Shrock and Noah Shrock; by one brother, John Joseph (Sharon) Shrock of Newport, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve retired from Avco New-Idea Corporation. He and his wife were involved in the breeding and raising of Labrador retrievers and were the owners of Justlabslabradors.com for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Lord’s Church in Celina.

Graveside burial rites will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, Pastor Randy Christian, officiant. Private family visitation will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be given to the Lord’s Church.
