Dennis L. Sheaks, 62, of 2309 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH and a resident of the St.Marys Living Center died 2:20 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the St.Marys Living Center. 

He was born May 10, 1946 in Celina, OH, the son of Robert and Mary (Shinaberry) Sheaks.  His father preceded him in death as did his mother, Mary Shinaberry Naylor.  He is survived by his step-mother, Alice Sheaks, of St.Marys, OH. 

He is also survived by:

¨ Sister, Patricia (James) Sealscott of New Bremen, OH

¨ Sister-in-law, Peg Sheaks of St.Marys, OH

¨ Numerous nieces and nephews 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mike Sheaks. 

Dennis was a 1964 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School and he attended Bowling Green State University.  He enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, including hunting.   

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St.Marys.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral rites will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4,2009 at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Joy Miller officiant.  Private family burial rites will be held.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Joint Township Hospice.
