Ronald L. Selby, 73, of 18132 Townline – Kossuth Road in St. Marys, OH died 6:19 p.m. Saturday June 25, 2011 in Wapakoneta following a brief illness.

He was born January 14, 1938 in  Mercer Co., OH to J. Wilson and A. Lucille (Pummell) Selby.

On November 30, 1955, in St. Marys, he married Marilyn R. Slemmons, who died June 18, 2006.

Survivors include:  

 son Jeff (Jan) Selby  of St. Marys, OH

son Rod (Nancy ) Selby  of New Knoxville, OH

daughter Rhonda (Ken) Boyd  of New Bremen, OH

daughter Jennifer (Jim) Singleton  of Wapakoneta, OH

5 grandchildren: Christopher Boyd, Erin (L.J.) Jellison and Jacob Boyd  all of Las Vegas, NV  Rachel Baucher  of Columbus, OH  Tyler Baucher  of Wapakoneta, OH

3  great-grandchildren

brother Roger (Donna) Selby  of St. Marys, OH 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Robert Selby

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys, where he was a plumber/pipefitter.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Marys.

His favorite pastimes included riding his motorcycle, trapshooting and attending swap meets and gun and knife shows.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 29, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with Pastor Gary Bragg, officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites, will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, OH.

Visitation 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
