Hannah L. Schneider, 90, a resident of Otterbein St.Marys Retirement Community, St.Marys, OH, died 7:15 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Otterbein St.Marys.  She had lived in Winterhaven, FL prior to moving to St.Marys. 

She was born April 15, 1919 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Clyde and Nell (Parlett) Shewmon. 

She married Victor Schneider on July 12, 1944; he survives at Otterbein St.Marys. 

She is also survived by:

¨ Son, Richard (Beverly) Schneider of Dayton, OH

¨ Daughter, Jane (Kayne) White of Englewood, OH

¨ 3 grandchildren: Christopher White, Ryan Schneider, Heather Schneider

¨ 1 great-grandson, Caden White 

She was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister, Arlene Gallichio. 

Hannah was a 1937 graduate of the Roosevelt High School in Dayton, OH.  She had worked at McCall’s Publishing in Dayton in the subscription renewal department.  She was also a homemaker. 

She enjoyed playing cards and had attended the Shiloh Congregational Church.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Everett Aldstadt, officiant.  Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, OH. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed either to Otterbein Benevolence Fund or State of the Heart Hospice.
