Ruth M. Ruwoldt, 86, of 601 Royal Oak Drive, Saint Marys, died 12:15 P.M. Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.

She was born March 18, 1924, in Celina, the daughter of Wilbur “Dick” and Mary (Muter) Fetters. Her mother later re-married and was Mary Schoenleben.

She married Vernon Ruwoldt on December 31, 1943; he preceded her in death on December 1, 1971.

She is survived by her five children: Jerry Ruwoldt of Ohio City, Ohio; Jim (Donna) Ruwoldt of Saint Marys; Reverend Mary Kay Brown of Saint Marys; Mike (Ann) Ruwoldt of Saint Marys; Bob Ruwoldt of Saint Marys; by a sister, Helen (Art) Thompson of Celina; a brother, Bud (Patty) Schoenleben of Celina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant sister, Janet Fetters; a sister, Vera Halderman; a brother, Clifford Fetters; two sons-in-law, Roger Parent, Jr. and Reverend H. Hoyt Brown; a daughter-in-law, Sue Ruwoldt.

Ruth was a homemaker.

Private family funeral rites will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, the Reverend Don Ricard, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Diabetes Fund of Grand Lake Hospice.
