Raymond A. Rush, 64, of 1730 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH died 5:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Al, following a sudden illness. 

He was born November 26, 1943 in St.Marys, OH, the son of Roy and Ileen (Blumenherst) Rush.  His mother survives in St.Marys. 

He married Diann Campbell on August 27, 1966; she survives at the residence. 

In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by:

¨ Son, Joseph Rush of St.Marys, OH

¨ Sister, Sharon (John) Potter of Miamisburg, OH

¨ Brother-in-law, James (Lareen) Houts of Zephyr Hills, FL 

He was preceded in death by his father and by a sister-in-law, Lynn Sharp. 

Ray was a 1961 graduate of New Bremen High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St.Marys, OH after 35 years of service. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 323 in St.Marys. 

He enjoyed fishing, watching the Cleveland Browns and pro wrestling.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Harold Liess, Officiant.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to either Hillsdale Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
