Louise E. Rowe, 78, of 11626 Heron Court, St.Marys, OH, and formerly of Columbus, Oh, died suddenly at 7:08 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Joint Township Memorial Hospital in St.Marys, OH. 

She was born February 14, 1930 in Scott, OH, the daughter of Bruce and Elsie (Stiebeling) Rogers. 

She married Don W. Rowe on October 3, 1957; he survives at the residence.

¨ Daughter, Beth (Craig) Metzger of Columbus, OH

¨ Daughter-in-law, Beth Rowe of Centerburg, OH

¨ 5 grandchildren: Katie Coon, Heather and Jessica Metzger, Kody Fox and Brady Rowe

¨ Sister, Carol (Merle) Redmond of Marysville, OH

¨ Brother, Carl (Sally) Rogers of Las Vegas, NV

¨ Step-brother, Max Lieder of Plant City, FL

¨ Step-brother, Don (Doris) Lieder of Plant City, FL 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-mother, Edith (Clinton) Rogers; sister, Connie Foster; son, Douglas Rowe. 

Louise was a 1948 graduate of Hoagland High School.  She earned her B.S. in Education from the Ohio State University in 1952.  She was a retired Home Economics teacher and later worked in the food services department of the Columbus City Schools, retiring in 1993. 

She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and playing card and board games.  She was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St.Marys, OH.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, in the Meyer Community Chapel on the campus of Otterbein St.Marys Retirement Community,11300 St. Rt.364, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Carol Sainey, officiant.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, OH.

Friends may call from1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday at Otterbein St.Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to the Otterbein St.Marys Life Enrichment Center.
