Earl “Satch”
Rohrbach, 97, of 415 North Walnut Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 10:53 A.M.
Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born May 18, 1911, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Bertha Rohrbach.
He married June Grover on September 24, 1942; she preceded him in death on February 25, 1979.
He is survived by one daughter, Peggy (Lynn) Cisco of Saint Marys; by nine grandchildren: Tammy Stoker; Staci Lauth; Carla Sampson; Lonnie Enderud; Mike Enderud; Scott Cisco; Kim Cron; Ty Cisco and Amy Freewalt; by nineteen great-grandchildren; by a special friend, Jean Radar.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a daughter, Darlene Enderud.
Earl was a 1929 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WW II in the South Pacific Theatre. He retired from C and G Distributing Company where he had been a salesman. He enjoyed swimming and was an avid dancer, even in his later years. He was a member of American Legion Post 323; DAV; and VFW Post 9289 in Saint Marys; and also the Wapak Eagles. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
