Gordon R. Rohde, 69, of 100 Causeway Drive, St.Marys, OH and formerly of Beavercreek, OH died 1:20 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at his residence following a brief illness. 

He was born October 10,1938 in Piqua, OH, the son of Gordon and Helen (Hofferbert) Rohde. 

He married Linda Sharkey on May 14,1956 and she survives at the residence. 

He is also survived by:

¨ Son, Michael (Cathy) Rodhe of Centerville, OH

¨ Son, Robert “Rocky” (Susan) Rodhe of Powell, OH

¨ 5 granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Cassie, Abbey and Molly Rohde; grandson, Christopher Grande 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Carol Johnson.  

Gordon was a 1956 graduate of Beavercreek High School.  He retired after 42 years of service from Reynolds and Reynolds Company in Dayton and Celina, OH where he had served as a Quality Engineer. 

He enjoyed flying radio controlled aircraft and belonged to the Celina Flying Squadron and the Auglaize County Buzzard Baiters.  He was a member of the Celina Order of Moose and Eagles#767. 

He attended Grace Missionary Church in Celina, OH.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St.Marys, OH.

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Grand Lake Hospice and invites friends to make a donation to that organization in lieu of flowers.
