Mary Margaret Ramsey, 99, of  423 Huffman Street, St.Marys, died 11:56 P.M. Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the St.Marys Living Center, where she had made her home for the past two years.

She was born August 1, 1912, in Auglaize County, OH, the daughter of Charles F. and Clara (Rohrbach) Teeters.

She married Walter “Pete” Ramsey on April 24, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1977.

She is survived by:

Daughter, Joan (David) Paul of New Bremen, OH

Daughter, Mary (John) Holtzapple of St.Marys, OH, with whom she had made her home for 23 years

Son, Walter (Sue) Ramsey, Jr. of Belleville, OH

9 grandchildren: Lisa (Donny) Townsend; Becky (Roland) Landry; Andrea Ramsey; Scott (Tina) Paul; Lori (Greg) Kramer; John (Jennifer) Holtzapple; Jeff (Shelly) Holtzapple; James (Janelle) Holtzapple; Jeremy (Brenda) Holtzapple

Numerous great-grandchildren and  two great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Donna Jean Ramsey; a son, Theodore Ramsey;  a sister, Mildred  Teeters; five brothers: Charles Teeters; Aldon Teeters; Lawrence Teeters; Franklin Teeters and Robert Teeters; by a grandson, Benjamin Ramsey.

Mary was a 1930 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School. She was a member of St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys and the Women’s Guild of the church.  She retired from the Vanderhorst Canning Factory in St.Marys and she also cleaned homes for families in St.Marys.  Mary was a true believer in God, hard work and enjoying every minute with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
