Geraldine Carolynn Ramga passed away at 10:40 a.m.  after an extended illness on June 18, 2011, at the home where she was born and raised,  06755 Lock 14 Road, Wapakoneta

She was born April 30, 1922, to Glen and Grace Bailey Bonifield.  She married Paul Ramga in 1938, and he passed away on June 8, 1959.   

Mrs. Ramga worked diligently on all aspects of farming on the family farm and was awarded Auglaize County Centennial and Sesquicentennial Ancestral Farm in 2003. She has been active in church activities all her life.  She was a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader for 20 years.  She is a former member of Walnut Grove Methodist Church and Bethlehem Christian Union Church, and at present Wayne Street United Methodist Church, also Joint Township Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Hospital Guild # 6, Lakeside (Ohio) Property Owners Assoc., and Ohio Farm Bureau.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with family.  She cared for all her grandchildren and was a nanny to her beloved great grandchildren from 1989 to 2009.

Survivors include daughter Carolynn (Ray) Sidey , son Glenn (Kay) Ramga of Wapakoneta, and  daughter Pauletta (Jim) Welshimer of Findlay; four grandchildren Paul Sidey, Janine (Michael) Loyer, Annette Ramga (Rick) Alatorre,  and Rachel Ramga; and great grandchildren Jeannette Loyer and Benjamin Loyer. 

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys, Pastor  Steve Weatherly and Pastor Mary Kay Brown officiating.  Burial will be in Buckland Cemetery, Buckland, Ohio.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Route 703, St. Marys, Ohio, and  one  hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
