Dana E. Rager, 35, of 1010 Edwards Street in St. Marys, OH died Monday August 9, 2010 at his residence.

He was born April 1, 1975 in Van Wert, OH to Dana R. and Betty Jo (Bowers) Rager.

On April 21, 1999 in St. Marys, OH he married Amanda K. Burd, who survives.

He was preceded in death by: father Dana R. Rager, infant sister Anita Rager, grandparents: Ervin and Dortha Rager, Lenny Bowers

He was a 1994 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys.

He was employed as a concrete finisher for Homan & Stucke Construction Co. in New Bremen, OH.

He attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys.

Dana enjoyed riding four-wheel ATV’s, camping following and following NASCAR. He was a very good father, who loved spending time with his daughters. He could always be found in attendance at their sporting events and dance practices and recitals. Also, he was quite fond of his pet beagle dog, “Sammy.”

Rites are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday August 13, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home & Cremation Service 1605 Celina rOad (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, with Rev. Ed Bray, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.

Visitation 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home on Celina Road (Ohio 703 West).

Memorial contributions may be directed to a fund to further his children’s education.
