Junior Ora Pugh, 84, of 13122 Firefly Lane in Hudson, FL, (and formerly of St.Marys, OH) died November 16, 2009 at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1925 in Lima, OH to Jess W. and Lenora (Allen) Pugh.

On January 31, 1950 in Richmond, IN, he married Opal L. Cooper.

daughter, Wanda (Richard) Hartline of Tremonton, UT

son, Carl (Pam) Pugh of Celina, OH

son, Joseph (Melodia) Pugh of GMF, Guam

daughter, Nancy (Hershel) Jackson of Rose Hill, VA

son, Robert E. Pugh of Hudson, FL

son, Jesse (Susan) Pugh of Hudson, FL

foster daughter, Polly (Hammond) Nonnemacher of Ann Arbor, MI

19 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren

brother, Jim Pugh of Lima, OH

brother, Leroy Pugh of Florence, MS

sister, Ilene Adams of Memphis, TN

He was preceded in death by: parents, infant son Johnny Ray Pugh, brother Tom Pugh, brother Ken Pugh, brother Fenton Pugh, brother Robert Pugh, brother Carl Pugh, sister Irene Pugh

He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during World War II.

He retired from Wick’s Truss Co. in Elfers, FL. He had also driven truck for Yellow Transit in Springfield, OH, and worked as a production employee at the former Avco-New Idea in Coldwater, OH. In addition, he and his wife operated concession stands, having traveled to fairs and festivals throughout the Midwest.

He enjoyed fishing, dancing, swimming and listening to country-western music.

Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 10, 2010 at Miller Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St.Marys, with the Rev. Dave Dennis, officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in St.Marys.

Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home on High Street.
