Raymond E. Perrine

Raymond E. Perrine, 86, 09144 Center Road, New Knoxville, OH died 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the St.Marys Living Center, St.Marys, OH.

 

Ray was born August 22, 1920 in Princeton, IL, the son of Harry and Bertha (Pierson) Perrine.

 

He married Virginia June Taylor on February 14,1947; she survives at the residence.

 

He is also survived by:

· Son, James (Vivian) Perrine, New Knoxville, OH

· Son, Gary (Linda) Perrine, Round Lake Park, IL

· Son, Brian (Chai) Perrine, Dupont, WA

· Daughter, Lynda (Mike) Mitskewicz, Billerica, MA

· Sister, Louise Parker, Lindenhurst, IL

· 11 grandchildren

· 2 great-grandchildren

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Larry and Lawrence.

 

He was a 1938 graduate of Waukegan High School.  He then completed a machine trade school apprenticeship program prior to joining the United States Navy and he served during World War II.  He worked as a machinist at O’Brien’s Machine Shop in Highland Park, IL.  He was an avid bowler and golfer and a member of Bonnie Brook Golf Club for many years.  He was a former Elks Club member and he attended the USS Ashland reunion events. He enjoyed following the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs sports teams.

 

He was a good father who loved his family. 

 

Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 3,2007 at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Waukegan, IL, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Melissa L. Earley officiating.
