Leota E. M. Nedderman, 90, of 10431 County Road 66-A, St.Marys, OH died 11:25 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness. 

She was born March 22, 1918, in Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of Ferdinand and Malinda (Fricke) Quellhorst. 

She married Robert E. Nedderman on September 28, 1940, in New Bremen, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2007. 

She is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Virginia Yahl of Florence, KY

¨ Son,  Bill (Marilyn) Nedderman of New Bremen, OH

¨ Daughter,  Nancy (Thomas) Hunter of Wapakoneta, OH

¨ Daughter,  Betty (Larry) Symonds of Englewood, FL

¨ Daughter,  Kaye Burd of St.Marys, OH

¨ 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren

¨ Brother-in-law, Forrest Nedderman of St.Marys, OH 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; by a son-in-law, Walter Yahl; two brothers-in-law, Marvin and Alfred Nedderman. 

Leota was a 1935 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and farm wife and had retired from Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys where she had worked as a cook in the dietary department.  

She was a member of the Hillsdale United Brethren Church in Saint Marys. 

She enjoyed sewing and gardening, baking and the tradition of making a blanket for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Elmer Long & Pastor Bruce Head, officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Friends may call from 2-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Grand Lake Home Health or the Hillsdale United Brethren Church.
