Steven K. Nale, 57, of 25 Meadowview Terrace, New Bremen, Ohio, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born June 30, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Robert and Frances (Norris) Nale. His mother preceded him in death and his father survives in Milford, Ohio.
He married Terry Lynn Osborne and she preceded him in death; he married Doretta Krites on November 17, 1984 and she survives.

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by six children: Angela (Michael) Baker of Saint Marys; Jeremy Nale of New Bremen; Lori (Gregory) Burgess of Indianapolis; Stephanie (Ben) Brown of Wapakoneta; Rob Nale of Atlanta, Georgia; Brad Nale of Saint Marys; by eight grandchildren: Brittany Goodwin; Dylan Goodwin; Sierra Matthews; Shawnee Buchanan; Elizabeth Buchanan; Isaiah Osborne; Stephanie Ballou; Madelyn Brown; by his father and mother-in-law, Richard (Dorothy) Krites of Saint Marys; by two sisters: Phyllis (Philip) Martin of Cincinnati; Sandra Gowans of Waterloo, Iowa; three close friends: Fred Mathes of Indianapolis; Tom Sweeney of Saint Marys; Charlie Schramm of Saint Marys; by a brother-in-law, Gary Osborne of Pontiac, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his mother and by one sister, Marsha Coates.

Steve was a 1972 graduate of the New Palestine High School in Indiana. He was a truck driver for Continental Truck Line, Sidney, Ohio.

Steve’s passion was working on cars. He was a backyard mechanic but he also enjoyed building model cars. He was a car collector and was very proud of his 1969 Chevy Impala Convertible. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Reverend Joy Miller and Deacon Martin Brown, co-officiants.

Friends may call one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church, where memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Grand Lake Hopsice.
